The holidays and the long Chicago winter can be a vulnerable time for many families, especially during this year. To lift some of the potential burden our participants and their families may endure, we set out to provide nutritional food bags, art kits, and winter essentials to as many families as possible.

Through partnerships with Gotham Greens, Urban Growers Collectives, Sauce and Bread Kitchen, Hubert’s Lemonade and Topo Chico over 150 Southside families received Holiday food bags. We also know that not only food is needed during these times. With our Amazon Wish List, we coordinated another giveaway with winter essentials like hats, gloves, cozy blankets, and space heaters, in the hopes of warming up the winter days and to provide family art activities for the cozy nights indoors.
