Each month SkyART hosts unique workshops led by Chicago Fire and CineCares Foundation. These workshops provide opportunities for young people in South Chicago to learn about film and television through the lens of graphic designers, special effects make-up artists, camera loaders, actors, and more.
Last week, they held a workshop on Graphic Design where participants created mixed media collages on plexiglass. Participants also had the opportunity to get one-on-one feedback from the designers about their art portfolios. Here is what one participant had to say:
“Today I met a couple of cool actors who dropped some well needed wisdom about acting and my spirit and energy is super high right now!!!“
-John Sipes, Participant
