This one-day workshop is part of Supergraphic Landscapes, a design research initiative aimed at offering a window into the practices of civically engaged graphic and architectural designers while fostering collaboration with the South Chicago and North Lawndale communities.
This hands-on design workshop combines the vibrant world of Supergraphics, architectural structures, and the freedom of speculative thinking to radically reimagine and redesign spaces of Chicago that often go unnoticed. Ever passed by a building or lot in the city and sensed there’s more to its story or a civic potential yet to be realized? Together, we’ll explore and make SUPERbold statements about the “shapes of absence” in our city’s vernacular neighborhoods.
