On Oct. 18, 2019 SkyART kicked off a new partnership with National Louis University and SkyART teaching artist Derric Clemmons. NLU students and SkyART participants will work with Derric to learn about and conceive of a curriculum for revitalizing communities through the arts, resulting in collaborative artworks and eventually a permanent public installation. Over the coming months, NLU students will work at SkyART once a week to learn and create alongside the young participants in South Chicago. The partnership provides the opportunity for art making, enrichment, mentorship and professional development.
