Seventeen years ago, I started offering the young people of South Chicago free visual arts programming. I believe that SkyART has grown into one of the most relevant arts programs in the city of Chicago. My staff of nine and I are committed to helping young people use creativity to explore themselves, their relationships, and more broadly their world.
In all honesty, I love what I do and am thrilled to share with you this video that the Obama Foundation made about SkyART.
